PLease would you get a formal response from Emirates how they treat blind or severely disabled passengers.law require airlines to offer very different services which may include special seats at the bulk heads, close to the galley help, toilets, exits, special boarding, and extra legroom.

I have been flying by MAS for 45 yrs since Ieaving Malaysia. Yes. Most convenient and best route from Melbourne to KL, KL to London and Europe. I did try other airlines but it was a disaster especially enroute to Singapore.

Singapore Airlines is the gold standard of legacy airlines. Changi is one of the best-run airports in the world.

I traveled many times with SIA on business class for long hauled. Their services are acceptable but definitely not outstanding.

A great vid. We’re travelling from Sydney to Munich via Doha with Qatar later in the year (A380/787) so this has given us some insights into what to expect given it’s 20 years since we last flew os. Then we flew with MAS/ Emirates thru KL and Dubai.

Ahh chef in plane.. I remember 1930's when I use the plane for first time from Nederland Oost Indische to Nederland.. that is so long time ago (in my dream)..

Many years ago I was on an MH flight from Singapore to KL, the purser came on the PA and told us to "sit back, relax and enjoy some Malaysian Hostility" the whole passenger compliment erupted in laughter. God bless MAS

Hi Dennis, really enjoy your videos! We're flying London to Sydney via a stop-over in Singapore in December and I'm really looking forward to experiencing SIA business cabins based on videos such as yours. With regards to the meal service/dine-on-demand question, I would prefer to have dine on demand - as someone who gets terrible jetlag, trying to manage it more recently with the help of an app, so usually the meal service times clash with 'sleep' time. Do you have any tips for combatting jetlag or experience with melatonin? All the best and safe travels! (Gavin & Stacey for the win!)

Great video as always! I do have a request as well, my fellow Adelaidian: Idk if you’ve ever tried travelling with pets, but i can’t find a decent review on that. I’m travelling with Qatar at the end of the year and it would be nice to know whether my pets will be taken care of :) is there a fellow RUclipsr you’d recommend? Or better yet…😉 keep up the good work, can’t wait to see 9 hours at Changi!

I love watching your videos, no matter if its economy class or first or what it is. If i am ever gonna be flying somewhere longer distance ill be sure to look up videos here on the airlines that are available and choose from that.

great video and Changi is one of the best airports in the world, but Hamad is geting closer now with its new garden. I think you nailed it when it comes to transit and trying to match your biological clock with all the timezones and arrival/departure flights.. I most often depart from Scandinavia with really long haul (Asia, South America, Africa) where it just feels strange to have breakfast as you arrive early, and having to have another breakfast as you depart early, or worse depart in the middle of the night and get nothing.. Dining on demand is a blessing for me. I think my best meal ever was on a QR flight in the middle of the night where they saved those mini-burgers as a late night snack. I do prefer eating at the lounge, getting proper food and where I can work and relax for a few hours an use dining ond demand after some sleep.

I wouldn't book those business class seats. They are more like a Premium seat on the TUI airlines.

If you can sleep and wake up in the morning at your destination, there is no question. Eat in the lounge and sleep on the plane. Period.

Delta upgraded me to first class my first time flying with them back in 2005. It was very much appreciated

I recently flew the same type aircraft to Rome. For a someone 195cm the lie flat is useless. i had to sleep sitting up with a slight recline. The soft product was not up to Singapore standards. No offer of pre meal drinks or dessert. Breakfast service was equally unimpressive and rushed. No offer at all of hot beverages. I used book the cook and was served Lobster Thermidor that was cold and tasted as if the on ground prep had burned the dish. My wife couldn’t eat hers and sent it back. Not rushing back to Changi anytime soon.

I'm 6ft and feel like the seats are only designed for people much much smaller - anyone bigger, you're in for a real bad & uncomfortable experience and if you're even slightly over weight, watch out as you will undoubtedly feel the squeeze . And believe me, the toilets are just as bad - so small . "All" the seats are facing away from the windows - so you cannot see out !!! also you cannot sit next to you partner or wife or husband, in fact with the noise of the aircraft you'll struggle to talk to them. I genuinely do not recommend this seating or toilet option - certainly not worth the money. Staff and food was good, everything else a total failure !!!

Without doubt Emirates A380 is number 1. Love flying business class Melb-Europe.

Just landed this morning from Singapore -A350 business class. Given a choice I would choose Emirates hands down, for comfort, service and amenities.

Flew to Amsterdam from NZ on Singapore Airlines back in 2018. Excellent flight even in economy.

Thanks Dennis, SQ are amazing. Long layover in Singapore, recommend heading into the city (Marina Bay Sands area) for quick sight see. Easy to do & worth it, even for 3-4hrs, with enough time for shower @ the lounge afterwards (a must after being in the heat) 😁

Can you run through what goes in your carry-on, particularly when you're doing an outfit and shower change mid-trip? How much do you have to plan ahead!

I love Singapore Airlines and you were partly responsible for my decision to upgrade to Business Class on Singapore to make a long awaited re-visit to my favourity country, Australia - I saw your and other vloggers trips in Business Class and I decided if I was going to go back to Australia, it was going to be in Business Class (my last economy trip was survivable but jeez, it was hard). I managed to find a travel agent who specialised in low cost business class, and my dream became reality. My only regret is that I didn't give Singapore long enough, and that I didn't give myself enough time to transit in SQ on the way home. I flew A380 LHR - SIN, then A350 SIN - PER - then A350 BNE - SIN - then 777 SIN - LHR. The best overall was the A380, the best for sleeping was the 777. The regional A350 was great for 5 - 8 hour flights with so many options of food, drink, entertainment and sleeping that the time flew. IMO Singapore Airlines knocked it out of the park. My trip to Australia was amazing and by upgrading to Business Class, so was the getting there and back. Thank you Dennis for the inspiration that gave me life-long happy memories!

Business class is most likely good. However the Singapore airlines economy Adelaide to Singapore is terrible. They know they have little competition ex Adelaide and the seat pitch is awful. I am a big frame but not fat and the tray table pushes uncomfortably in the guts. The food offerings since Covid ex Adelaide is terrible. On top of that they have removed the good A350s rom the route with suspect 787s. Even to day they have found faults on the riveting of 787s. How do they know it did not happen to past units. Then SQ712 SIN to BKK has also been changed to a suspect 787, the meal service on that is slop in a cardboard box. Our most recent trip was three weeks ago and we have used Singapore frequently on these routes since 1996, however we will now avoid S Q at all costs using the opposition or going via Melbourne with others. Shame on SQ management, crew are great but management uncaring for Adelaide.

Definitely prefer getting onto Europe Timezone asap. Prefer to arrive midday so it’s not so long to try and stay awake once you land, and try to sleep on the flights approximately when it’s overnight/early morning in Europe.

Always a first class video. Singapore airlines are one of the best there is. We are seriously thinking of transferring from Qantas to Virgin and use Singapore for our international travel. Thank you for all your hard work. 👍

For a flight departing at that time, I'd almost prefer a light snack/meal afer takeoff then a good breakfast prearrival to get a good rest.
